The Great Travel Adventure: The Explanation
I’m a 21 year old kid who makes art & hangs out with my best friends. I had moved from Australia to Canada in pursuit of a fresh career, (at the time) a specacular lady, and a brand new lifestyle.
All was tremendous in the tucked away land of Canada when I was suddenly hit with some unfortunate heart-mash. It became apparent pretty quickly that an artist’s emotional state really influences work quality.
My heart and brain was destroyed, and I couldn’t make marvelous things anymore.
In order to fix those important organs, I started having extravagant adventures. I left Canada over two months ago for a trip that was only supposed to last a week. After a few beers and talks to my good pal Kyle, we formulated a wild project.
Since then, I’ve been in a position to hang out with the greatest companies on the planet. It’s been the most inspiring perpetual series of trips, and I feel like I’ve grown as a person than ever before. How many kids my age get to do this? Probably not a whole lot.
It’s been a much needed reassurance and a fantastic testament to prove a point that cause the crumbling of that unfortunate relationship: that money & fame should never be the end goal.
You know, It’s really about the simple things — making an honest impression, and meaning well pays well. Traveling around and making my bread and butter by making art is the greatest. In return, I get adventures and stories to tell all of my friends. Nothing feels more rewarding.
Hanging out with the people who make the things I use every day has been incredible. It’s been great getting to make things and give back to these people in thanks for making such great things for the world.
And that is where it stands. I’m continuing this project and have some new international destinations lined up. Everyone who’s been part of this adventure so far has been awesome. Thanks for your couches, plane tickets, adventures and support. I love making things for you.
It’s a pretty wild ride
